A car seat is one of the travel necessities when it comes to taking a road trip with you’re young one. It is supposed to offer comfort and safety for your baby as you do the miles with your automobile. Since the law requires it, you might as well go out of your way in getting a truly remarkable one. And when reliable is the quality you seek, you will find Graco offers an array of car seats to meet your preferences. The designs are suited to meet different needs of babies, depending on their ages and their sizes. They are engineered with expertise to ensure that what you snuggle your baby up in when taking that journey is something crash tested, and with all the comfort and offering all the safety.

Car seats don’t exactly have too many parts, but they are nonetheless existent. When you choose a seat from Graco, you can rest assured of finding all the right seat parts that you may need to upgrade over the years.

During these financially testing times, one may be tempted to buy an old car seat so that they can save on a few needed dollars. But that is among the bigger mistakes you can make because old seats cannot offer the same level of safety that new ones do. The harnesses may be loose and the body pillows may have grown thin. Instead, its better to purchase Graco car seat parts for your old Graco seat so that you can alleviate its reduced efficiency in giving comfort. That includes replacing the pillows and the seat pads. For safety, you can get better harnesses and straps that will be more securing that the old ones. The canopy has long life written all over it so it does not need constant replacement. The handles however might need to be replaced if they get broken or loose.

Finding the Graco car seat parts is advised for anyone on a budget. Sure you have a new baby on the way, and your first born girl is already making her way to kindergarten. You can make a few changes to the car seat that she used, and customize it to suite her coming baby brother. That could be via upgrading the seat pads, ensuring you get a better color to suite the coming baby, the pillows, the cup holders and headrests. These parts can be yours for a few measly dollars, depending on your model. Even when upgrading, you should not go for parts that introduce complexity, for example with the securing straps. Simplicity matters as well.

Graco seats that are under warranty and are broken or damaged are replaced for free. Registration of the product is necessary beforehand is needed to ensure that the warranty is valid. If not, you can get the parts from Graco’s site, online baby-dedicated marketplaces, and other land-based stores. The option of getting Graco car seat parts is not always the best, depending primarily on the model and how much damage has been caused, accidentally, or by time.

This seat can be used as a booster seat from 30-100lbs with harness removed and using your car’s seat belt and the clips on the side of the seat.

Product Features:

-EZ Wash removable seat pad simplifies cleaning without harness removal;

-5-Point harness Energy Absorbing Foam Liner (EPS) with front adjusting harness straps;

-Patented easy-to-read level indicator for installation rear-facing;

-One cup holder/snack tray for snacking on the go;

-LATCH equipped and certified for use in aircraft.

It has an extra cushion in it called “Gracopedic Foam” kind of like memory foam. Babies loves it. The only thing I wish I could change is when they asleep their head leans forward, but that apparently happens with all the seats in its class. Bottom line it’s a great seat for the money.

Compared to others Eddie Bauer, this Graco fits our child much better; the Eddie Bauer may “look” more appealing but the Graco cradles our child much more securely, etc. This car seat competes with the other top $300 car seats. One would never otherwise know by looking at this plain grey model, however thankfully Graco has released other more appealing patterns.

It is very easy to use and very comfortable for babies. Graco has been good to us so far so we almost always buy that brand. Children’s look super comfy while sitting in the car and loves that sits up enough to where can look outside. The only issue is that when they falls asleep, there really isn’t anywhere for their heads to go. Their little heads are usually leaning forward. I don’t know of a convertible car seat that is this good for the money though. Items can be bought to keep the child’s head in place if they fall asleep, so you can’t beat the seat for the money.

It is very soft and seems comfy. It’s also very easy to work the straps and very easy to install and to adjust – just pull the lever by the straps and adjust. There also contain a cup holder, which is great.

This car seat can be purchase for road trips & for use in family cars (i.e. Toyota Matrix). It is a very warm car seat so the air conditioner has to be run at full blast to keep the baby cool enough. You’ll want to keep jackets in your car to keep the adults and other children from freezing.

Also, this is a large car seat. However, like most convertible car seats, it does not fasten easily. When rear facing, the adjustable straps for the baby are all but useless due to them being jammed against the seat. It does work well though, and is the most plush car seat around.

The straps on this car seat are not even, so if one side is tight, the other side is loose. That seems like a serious safety concern to parents. And it’s nearly impossible to get baby’s arms into the seat after tightening the strap (the one side) properly.

The good news is that baby car seat covers are removable. Once your baby starts snacking on those long car rides, or simply spits up once or twice, you are going to need to remove the car seat cover in order to wash it. You might even want to replace it with a new cover; perhaps a custom design you ordered online. The bad news is that they are not very easy to remove! Although you will need to consult your directions for your particular model of car seat, the tips for removing a baby car seat cover featured below are similar to all models.

Detach the restraining straps from the body of the car seat. Turn the car seat over and you should be able to find where the shoulder and bottom straps detach. Most shoulder straps are attached to a metal T-bar in the back. Unhook the straps from the T-bar. You will also need to detach the bottom strap as well, which might be hooked to the bottom of the T-bar, or to a separate part of the seat body. Consult your manual to find out exactly how they are attached.

Thread the now loosened restraining straps through the car seat cover and pull them free. Set them aside in a safe place so you can find them again easily.

Detach the car seat cover from the body of the car seat. It may be attached with elastic, snaps or small fabric loops. Again, turn the seat over to see how the cover is attached. Release the attachments and lift the car seat cover off the seat body. There will probably be a foam base underneath the seat cover. Leave that in place, or vacuum it if it is full of crumbs or dirt.

Place the new or washed car seat cover onto the foam base and attach it to the body of the car seat using the snaps, elastic, or small fabric loops.

Thread the shoulder and lower restraining straps through the body of the car seat and through the openings in the car seat cover. Then, secure them to the body of the car seat (T-bar). Again, consult your manual to find out exactly how they are secured in your model of car seat.

If the seat you are removing is electric then you will need to disconnect the battery before removing. Make sure that you record the preset radio stations and that you have the security code for the radio before you disconnect the battery.

If required, disconnect the battery. Make sure you wear hand protection and safety glasses when working around the battery and always disconnect the negative cable first.

Carefully lift the seat if you need to gain access to the wiring and unplug all electrical connectors.

Have an assistant help you remove the car seat through the doorway. With the help of an assistant, reinstall seat through the car’s doorway.

Reconnect wiring. Reinstall the seat bolts and torque to specifications. Reinstall the seat track protectors.
